Alignment and Power Set Rodney is aligned with the Extinction. For his Alignment, his body has been infested with nanobots that slowly take over and replace his organic body over time. They also make it necessary for him to feed - he needs to keep his fear repository filled to keep the nanites working. If he doesn't, they run out of fuel and gradually shut down and his body along with it. But at the same time the more fear he creates, the more the nanites replicate and take over. Power set Regeneration (limited): Rodney has increased healing powers because the nanites repair damage done to his body. For now this is limited to small wounds that heal immediatel. Bigger wounds take a while to repair and also completely deplete his fear repository. If the damage is too big for the nanites to repair or keep up, he'll die. Technopathy (mild): With the nanites, Rodney can communicate with other machines. For now these are limited to small things, from light switches to basic commands for his laptop. Maybe some light hacking if his fear repository is filled up all the way. However, the more he uses this, the more detached he will feel from his humanity and he will start having problems connecting with people on an emotional level. It will also affect the empathy he has towards others. Structural integrity/infestation (partial): Rodney can disassemble parts of his body like a hand or a shoulder into pure nanite form. If he wants to scare others with it, it will look like he's glitching/phasing in and out/turning into static or a cloud. He'll also be able to temporarily infest others with his nanites, making them glitch out in a similar way and giving them the uncanny feeling that something is Wrong with them. It will also make them paranoid that the people around them might not be people but something else. This is opt-in and will only happen with prior player consent and its effect is limited to 24 hours (less, if players wish for it). |
